Welcome everyone to 2022!

Please check your practice parts folder regularly for any updates to music. Some music is still being delivered so it will be uploaded as soon as possible.

Everyone aged 16 years and over is required to have their COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate checked by our staff before attending the first rehearsal on February 12. 30th October ODYSSEY Concert Information

Saturday 30^th October:

Venue: Perth Concert Hall

Access: Enter through Stage Door. This is accessible via the pathway and through the gate between Perth Concert Hall and Duxton Hotel. The main entry is off St. Georges Terrace.

Each ensemble will have a short rehearsal in the morning. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your allocated time so you can unpack and warmup before your rehearsal starts.

Tchaikovsky No.5 WASO/WAYO Sectionals

The WASO/WAYO sectionals on Tchaikovsky Symphony No.5 are coming up. Times and dates for each section are listed below.

Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before the allocated start time (so you can be set up and ready to play at the start time).

Take Five with Percussionist Joey Eng

Next month, Joey will join the WA Youth Orchestra on the Perth Concert Hall stage for their upcoming concert, Boléro. As the percussionist, Joey will execute the challenging snare drum part in Ravel’s most famous work. He will also have the exciting experience of participating in the world premiere of Australian composer Georgia Scott’s new work, Into the Deep. We spoke to Joey about this exciting upcoming concert, and his journey to becoming a percussionist and composer.

Rite & Revolution postponed until 2022

Due to the WA Government lock-down of Perth/Peel region and subsequent interim restrictions, Season 2 Rite & Revolution has been postponed until mid-late January 2022.

For those involved in WAYO/WASO Dreams of Place, this is still going ahead. Please refer to the specific rehearsal schedule for details.

Season 3 rehearsals will commence Saturday 31st July 9am-12pm at Callaway Auditorium with Peter Moore conducting.

Information: Legends & Legacies – Ensembles Concert 2021

Tomorrow is performance day! Please note the below information regarding rehearsal and concerts.

We are at St. Mary’s Anglican Girl School – Lady Wardle Performing Arts Centre tomorrow all day. Entrance Elliott Road Karrinyup.

Arrive early enough before your rehearsal time to unpack, set up and tune your instruments.
Entry to the venue is via the foyer.
Members sign in at front desk in foyer upon arrival for rehearsal and concert.

Flute Choir call times Saturday 12 June

Information for Saturday 12 June

All Flute Choir members are required to be backstage at SMAGS by no later than 8:30am on Saturday for the sound check. This is to allow enough time for warm-up, set-up, and tuning of the ensemble before we make our way on to the stage for the sound check period of 35 mins.

All Flute Choir members are required to be backstage at SMAGS for their concert call time by no later than 6:15pm on Saturday.
