Thanks for always sharing the joy of your successes…
That pipe band was magnificent and I’d be lying if I said those kids didn’t bring tears to my eyes and goosebumps to my arms. I feel so proud to be around such talent and bravery, getting up and being part of such an amazing collaboration. Well done WA Youth Orchestra!

The concert on Sunday was exceptional. We loved it immensely! It was delightful to see young people gaining such phenomenal experience in music and to see how the audience responded so delightfully. Congratulations on putting together such a wonderful program.

I’m fast becoming a WAYO groupie. Thrilling concert, thank you so much for the opportunity to experience WA’s brilliant musical talent.

Special mention to WAPOL too… Legends!

Bagpipes, drums, and a massive orchestra united in a spectacular fusion on Sunday afternoon on the Perth Concert Hall stage to perform some beloved Scottish-inspired classics.

In an electrifying performance, the WA Youth Orchestra joined forces with the pipes and drums of the WA Police Youth Band to deliver incredible renditions of Highland Cathedral, Scotland the Brave and The Gael from Last of the Mohicans.

This concert also showcased soaring melodies from the blockbuster film Braveheart with James Horner’s emotionally charged For the Love of a Princess, Elgar’s iconic Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1 (also known for the Land of Hope and Glory tune) as well as Mendelssohn’s captivating Hebrides Overture. The exhilaration continued in the second half with Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony. From its majestic opening fanfare to its exultant and triumphant finale, this symphony stands as one of the most vibrant and brilliant pieces ever composed.

We would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone that came out in force to support this collaboration, and made such a magical & memorable performance possible:
