What is a bequest?
A bequest is a means to support an organisation by way of charitable giving, enabling individuals to gift funds or property through their Will.
Why leave a bequest?
Bequests are a way to leave one’s mark on the world; to express one’s values by providing enduring support to a worthy cause. They afford anyone, regardless of financial circumstance, the opportunity to give charitably. After taking care of your family and loved ones, a gift in your Will can go on to help others in a way that honours your life and your legacy.
What your gift can do
Gifts in Wills change the lives of our members in many tangible ways. They can also make a positive difference to the lives of Western Australians through our culturally enriching programs and initiatives.
Types of Bequests
If you would like to discuss making a bequest, or have already made provisions for WAYO through your Will, our Executive Director would be happy to speak with you in strictest confidence should you require assistance (08) 9328 9859. The following bequest wording can assist your legal advisor to include WAYO in your will.
RESIDUARY BEQUEST
A Residuary Bequest is a gift of all or a percentage of what is left in your estate after specific gifts, taxes and debts have been fulfilled. This kind of bequest is not a specific, set amount, so it keeps its value over time; the gift you give today will be worth just as much when the time comes to put it to work.
I give, devise and bequeath to WA Youth Music Association Inc. (ABN 25703164609) free from all duties, the following percentage OR the remainder of my estate to support the objectives of the Association and to provide for its long-term financial security.
PECUNIARY BEQUEST
