ENSEMBLE PREFERENCE
List a preference for all ensembles you wish to be considered for, with number 1 being your first preference.
Example 1: If you list only WA Youth Orchestra [1] and do not list Philharmonic, you will not be considered for the Philharmonic or any other ensemble.
List your ensemble preferences in order of ensemble grading from highest to lowest. You do not need to list a preference for all ensembles. If you audition on excerpts for a lower grade ensemble, you cannot be placed in a higher grade ensemble.
Example 2: You list Camerata [1], Collegium [2], Sinfonietta [3]. You only need to prepare the Camerata excerpts and will be considered for that ensemble and all ensembles that you have listed a preference for of a lower grade. If you perform the Collegium excerpts you will be considered for Collegium and Sinfonietta, but will not be considered for Camerata.
Example 3: You list WAYO [1], Philharmonic [2]. When you get the excerpts, you may choose to play the Philharmonic excerpts if you find the WAYO excerpts too difficult. You will then be considered for Philharmonic, but not for WAYO.
