The acclaimed Darlington String Quartet will be joined by 19 outstanding WA Youth Orchestra (WAYO) string players to perform the achingly beautiful Metamorphosen for 23 Solo Strings, composed by the legendary Richard Strauss.

This special project week with WAAPA and WAYO culminates in the performance of Strauss’  monumental and remarkable work.
The program also includes Franz Schubert’s iconic String Quartet No. 14 in D minor ‘Death and the Maiden’.

This concert is not suitable for young children, like those who attend a WAYO Babies Proms performance.
