Only a few weeks until your concert.
We have noticed that a lot of people have started to arrive late to rehearsals over the last few weeks. It is important to be seated and tuned by 9am so you do not disturb or waste rehearsal time.
Please arrive by 8:45am, so you can unpack, tune up, and be seated before 9am.

WAYO Rehearsal 18 May
This week you will be conducted by John Keene, as Pete is away for work.
Members of the WA Symphony Orchestra will also be attending to play in the ensemble and tutor this week.
Rehearsal is 9am – 12pm at UWA Callaway Auditorium.
Please arrive by 8:50am at the latest so you have time to be ready before rehearsal starts and to meet your WASO tutor.

Philharmonic Sectionals 18 May 2024
This week, Saturday 18 May, you will be having sectionals at WAAPA, 9am – 12pm.
- Strings and Harp are in the RGA (usual room) with Dale conducting. Semra Lee will be with you for the first half of rehearsal. Then the whole Darlington Quartet will join you for the second half of rehearsal.
- Winds are in ES4 with Tresna Stampalia
- Brass are in ES2 with Bill Theis

Babies Proms 20/21 April
Babies Proms concerts are this weekend, and they are all sold out! So bring your smiles and youthful energy to all the performances and have fun.
The venue is Perth College – Judith Cottier Theatre – 31 Lawley Cresent Mt Lawley.
Please make sure you arrive on time and don’t get caught out with the parking situation. There is very limited street parking around Perth College. The oval will be open for additional parking, weather permitting.

WAYO Schedule April
Hope you had a nice break. This Saturday 13 April rehearsal is for Babies Proms at UWA Callaway Auditorium. If you are not performing in Babies Proms on April 20 or 21 then you are not required at this rehearsal. Elise Chong will be conducting, and Peter Moore is the MC.
All principals must prepare a 10 second demo for their instrument. Duets also work really well. Please make sure it is a fun kid related song, like a nursery rhyme [ read more ]
